Thank you Jann! So glad you're here. You are always welcome in Comfort Forest.
It would have been in the email Substack automatically sent you when you subscribed. But no worries, I'll email it to you again right now. Give me 2 minutes.
Dearest Jann, you are very welcome to DM me, and I'm happy to discuss my process with you. Thank you for your interest. However, Comfort Forest is keeping me extremely busy so I'm not able to do any collaborations, and I have absolutely no interest in sending my work to publishers. I am going to be self-publishing my own books in about a year with my own imprint. But I wish you every bit of good fortune with your books and illustrations. Blessings, and peace, Fern.
I'm happy to share, but honestly there is not much more I can tell you that's not already described in my public 'how I made this statement'. It's not going to be something that's easy to replicate as it's has taken me a lifetime to develop my style, and an intensive process of learning these new tools over the last couple of years, and graphic design prior to that, as well as 20 years or so of content creation. I am also a galleried visual artist and a classical musician, as well as the author of many books in other genres. This is my statement: My visuals begin with my own hand-drawn illustrations, paintings & collage. Each character is hand-drawn. I create variations using AI tools & adjust with a photo editor. The animations come from those finished illustrations, made with AI animation tools & hand-edited by me, a painstaking, intensive process. I am a classical musician. I compose with sampled real instruments & editing tools, including AI tools. All text is written by me. Everything is imagined, conceived of & directed by me.
I so not adept at tech and would definitely purchase a copy when available hard copy. The detail is gorgeous. No computer and the phone would never do it justice... gonna try to see how Finley handles slow living cause I wanna try
Thank you so much, dearest Gayle. And I completely understand. When it is available in hard copy I will be sure to let everyone know. 🌿🍄 Finley is very good at slow living, but it seems all the residents of Comfort Forest are. We all have much to learn from them.
I’m just making sure you realise there is a Comfort Forest TV?
Don't think I received it yet.
Love your site. ♥️♥️♥️

Can I DM you? I write/illustrate kids' books, too. But I don't do what you do. I am SO INTERESTED IN HOW YOU CREATE COMFORT FOREST.
I keep being so busy I might never get around to sharing them.
Maybe we could collab and create the artwork, video(?) we could send to publishers.
What do you think about that?
Blessings of peace to you.

Yes, I would like to understand your process. And I applaud your future self-publishing adventure.
Oh, to focus on only one project. I seem to keep adding them. 😊😊😊

How can I DM you?
You go to my profile and hit message, or you send me a chat request from your chats.
Thanks. 😊
